The People's Hope

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) - During the darkest days of the AIDS epidemic, People’s Hope Clinic - called iThembalabantu in Zulu - brought treatment to residents of a struggling South African township and with it a fighting chance to survive the outbreak.

“The People’s Hope” documentary is a moving and inspirational story about the genesis of iThembalabantu Clinic, one of the first free treatment sites in South Africa, founded by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) 15 years ago.

The historic clinic opening gave rise to AHF’s global programs, which today support over 600,000 clients in 36 countries, including 100,000 clients in South Africa.
