ELECTORNIC BULLETIN OF THE SWISS PLATFORM ON HIV/AIDS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

December 2007

Dear Reader,

Do you know the short and refreshing films that young people from Africa wrote on HIV and AIDS? A young warrior who loves his country hears about the devastation being caused by AIDS and sets off to fight "him"… A man who goes to the shop to buy some condoms but who hadn't realised how embarrassed he would feel buying condoms in front of other people… , and many others.

These short films are products of an international contest „Scenarios from Africa“. The contest is open to ALL young people who are under the age of 25 are invited to participate in the contest.

This is a great chance for young and creative people to participate in an international contest on HIV and AIDS – and to win a price. It is also a chance for Swiss development organisations to get original and innovative short films by young Africans you may use in your work on HIV prevention and mainstreaming. Please inform your partners about the contest and the chance for young people.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and support in fighting for a future without HIV and AIDS.

I wish you peaceful holidays and a very happy new year, All the best,

Helena Zweifel Coordinator aidsfocus.ch
