E-Learning

Elektronische, mediengestützte Angebote sind ein wichtiger Bereich des heutigen Weiterbildungsangebots und eröffnen als Fernlernkomponente eine Reihe neuer Möglichkeiten.

Die Vorteile liegen auf der Hand: Fernlernen kann berufsbegleitend erfolgen und vermindert so die Abwesenheitszeiten vom Arbeitsplatz und die Reisekosten. Es fördert das selbst bestimmte Lernen und die Nutzung von global verfügbaren Informationsquellen.

Für Menschen im globalen Süden kann das E-Learning den Zugang zu Wissen erst ermöglichen und neue Perspektiven eröffnen. Besonders bei HIV/AIDS eignet sich eine Wissensvermittlung per E-Learning, da den Teilnehmenden vielfach ein über Computer vermittelter Austausch zu den sensiblen und mit Tabus besetzten Aspekten von HIV und Aids leichter fällt.
