Improved school attendance credited with reducing HIV infections among teenage girls in Uganda

aidsmap.com, 14 January 2015 - According to an analysis various reasons are responsible for new HIV infections among girls and young women aged 15 to 24. One outcome emphasised that not attending school is substantial assocciated with HIV incidence and prevalence.

Subsequently the Ugandan government decided to abolish tuition fee for school pubils. This decision were crowned with success as John Santelli and colleagues reported in the January 14 edition of AIDS.
