Young People's Right to Health: Mind the Gap? Close the Gap!

03.06.2019 | 1-3pm; West Meeting Room 116-117, Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, Canada

Women Deliver Conference 2019

SDC, MMS, Swiss TPH, UoG - Come and join us for an engaging discussion on how to reach the most vulnerable and marginalized young people and therefore realize their right to health!

This panel aims to unfold the complexity of the topic ‘reaching the most vulnerable and marginalised young people’ in the area of health by including multiple perspectives from research to policy and practice. The concepts of vulnerability, marginalisation, ‘hard-to-reach’ and ‘left-behind’ are often talked about, but what is actually being done to close the ‘gap’ and ensuring young people’s right to health? The focus of the panel will be on health and rights, but lessons learnt from other sectors will also be harnessed to enrich the conversation.

Our side event at the Women Deliver Conference 2019 aims to highlight best practices and challenges through interactive discussions with young people, researchers, policy makers, and project implementers. You will leave this event with new perspectives and tangible solutions on how to close the gap.
