Knowledge management, resource mobilisation and sustained HIV/AIDS research in Low-income Countries
The summary report of the first annual Strategic Planning Symposium 2008 of the African-European Medical and Research Network (AEMRN) reflects the wider range of presentationas and discussions. It focused on knowledge management, resource mobilisation and sustained HIV/AIDS research in Sub-Saharan Africa.
"The rhetorical question we asked ourselves was what more can we do, or still needs to be better done or rather what lessons have we or haven’t we not learnt and still need to learn from one another. Thought provoking as these questions are, there appears to be no clear-cut answers.
But what we all seemed to agree on is that continuous discussion, consultations and experiences sharing among ourselves, bringing together stakeholders from various disciplines, countries and continents could highlight more innovative approaches that will bring us closer to containing the HIV pandemic."
